About Fiona
Fiona commenced her love affair with music at an early age. Many years of study and live performance have seen her develop into a most prolific and professional singer and entertainer. Her local and international vocal career has encompassed performances with live bands, television, and musical theatre.
Fiona attained her Associate Diploma of the Arts (Music and Dance) at Queensland University (Kelvin Grove). During this time she performed in the Chorus with Opera Queensland, was a regular guest vocalist on the Ten Network morning show “In Brisbane Today”; and honed her acting skills performing in numerous Musical Theatre productions.
Fiona continued to refine her craft in jazz and contemporary music; living and working internationally in Japan, South East Asia and Canada with various Australian and International artists. After many years working as a freelance vocalist with many high profile artists and corporate bands Fiona enlisted into the Australian Army as a Solo Vocalist in the Band Corps. She has also continued her study of music, successfully completing a Diploma of Music (Voice - Performance) at Victoria's MWT Institute.
With her home now base in Adelaide, South Australia, Fiona is employed as a principle vocalist for The Australian Army Band; and is often called upon as a visiting Assessor and Subject Matter Expert for Tertiary Music programs.
Fiona’s proudest achievement is being twice selected to represent Australia on ANZAC DAY for the Australian Defence Force - at Villers Bretonneux, France in 2010 and at Menin Gate, Ypres Belgium in 2012; singing the Australian National Anthem, as well as the National Anthems of France and Belgium in their native languages.
